About Runes of Magic Gold

Developed by a Taiwanese company, Runewaker Entertainment, Runes of Magic (RoM) has since been adapted for the English and German-speaking market by Frogster Interactive and released in March 19, 2009. Since then, the game has had five chapters under its belt. The game is completely free to play. Monetization is primarily via the game's official Item Shop. Instead of playing just one class throughout, the gameplay is designed so that players get to choose and play three different classes – Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. Runes of Magic features typical free-to-play game features such as a pets and marriage system which is further supported via exotic items purchasable only from the game's Item Shop.

Runes of Magic currency is made up of Tokens, Diamonds, Rubies and Gold coins. The most common measurement gamers would come by are Gold coins and can be found abundantly in the game. Diamonds on the other hand has to be obtained from outside the game using real cash. Diamonds are used to buy rare, exotic items that are featured only in the Runes of Magic Item Shop. Rubies are similar to Diamonds in that it can be used only to get items from Ruby shops, with the exception being that they can't be bought using real currency and are in fact earned from buying items from the Item Shop. Finally, Tokens you can earn from daily quests and are used to buy items from NPC's in the game or the Phirius Token Shop featured in the Item Shop.
