Interesting Features Available in Madden NFL 16

Draft Champions

This is rather similar to NFL fantasy football, with the difference of the player able to actually play the game. To start playing, players will have to draft their team first and see if they can win football games. With the new system, players can draft their team just like in a fantasy football team, and they can play their team on the field too.

Draft Champions is where all these fast-paced action is coming from. You start by becoming a General Manager who makes the necessary cuts to make a powerful team. And then, the team you painstakingly built, you can bring them to the football field and see how they will fare in football.

Doing the draft doesn't require preparation. In each round, there will be 3 players to choose after you have selected one in three coaches. You can select your favorite players, hometown team, position, or you can also do this in random. Any choice you make will eventually do your starter team some good.

Whether you are looking for a linebacker, a quarterback or a signal-caller, there are many players to choose from ranging from NFL legends and those that are more familiar to the younger generations. To complete the draft, all you need is 15 rounds that you can end in a matter of minutes.

What you do next is bring your team to the football field for quick games to test their strengths. There are 15-minute games that have fast quarters that last only 3 minutes. Upon winning, you are entitled to a special pack of items that can help boost your team in Madden Ultimate Team.

You will need tickets so that you can play in Draft Champions Ranked. Solo challenges can get you these tickets or you can also buy them using coins. To join the Draft Champions Ranked Event, a player will need 3 tickets, each costing 3,000, at a total of 9,000 coins in all.

The goal is to win 6 games or it will end when you lose 2. Since Ranked Draft Champions is a head to head mode, you can still win your Draft Champions Ranked event even though you have already lost 1 game.

Connected Franchise Mode (CFM)

Increasing your personal Legacy Score and getting into the Hall of Fame are the ultimate goal in Connected Franchise. To do that, players will have to join the league either as a player, coach, or owner, improve their skills, and win. Since you play against other human players online, Franchises are therefore considered as connected.

And also, you can always bring out a new character if you got bored of one, regardless of whether you're playing online or offline. You can do this by selecting Retire from the player options. That doesn't mean it's the game for you as you can always keep going in your own personal NFL universe. Whether you want to open up a player spot by completely withdrawing or just want to create a new character, you are able to do all of these even when online.

There are three steps when you start in Connected Franchise:

1. There are two options you need to choose from – Cloud or Offline. Saving the league locally and creating multiple offline characters can be done with the Offline option. Meanwhile, accessing the leage online and inviting friends, and faster week advances can be had with the Cloud option.

2. Choose your team.

3. You can now begin to play immediately or you can make a few or more tweaks to personalize the experience. By default, players will start in the regular season. You can also choose to start in the pre-season or with a Fantasy Draft.
