Jagex Slices Dicing Accounts
By Frank Lewis, Aug 27, 2012
Dicing was introduced into RuneScape to provide gamers with light entertainment, however, the service was abused and transformed into a betting scam. The scams targetted inexperienced players betting against IRC bots in order to win a highest set of number. Due to the number of complains received, dicing was removed from RuneScape last year. In addition to removing illegitimate dicing operations, Jagex banned several high-profiled accounts with unusually high gold stocks. As noted by CEO Mark Gerhard, Jagex continues its war against RMT sellers and continuously bans accounts via introducing anti-hijacking and anti-cheat tools. Such tools are expected to roll out gradually silencing RMT sellers for good.
